We greatly encourage our alumni, friends, and partners to help IGM realize our shared vision of world-class academics and student experience in interactive media by making a gift to the Institute and targeting these funds specifically to the “Interactive Games & Media fund.”
The purpose of this fund is specifically to support student engagement, events, presentations, and promotional activities both local to the School and around the world. In the past, such events included our presence at the Game Developer’s Conference, ACM SIGGRAPH, the Adobe Design Achievement Awards, CES, PAX/PAX East, etc. We feel it critical that student work, and the students that created it, have opportunities to interface with industry around the world and network at such events through a formal presence of the School. Similarly, there are a large number of internal and/or local events that are equally critical, such as the Global Game Jam, ImagineCup, Student Showcase, National STEM Video Game Challenge, etc. as well as study sessions, reviews, critiques, and similar needed extra-curricular activities.
While there are several campaigns, drives, and ways to give to the university (and we encourage and support them all), we hope that those involved in IGM will be particularly excited by this opportunity.
RIT Employees can make their gift through payroll deduction on a pre-tax basis
Several employers nation-wide will match the gifts of individual employees (more information)
Gifts to RIT are always tax-deductable
A gift of any size is most welcome, as there are needs both large and small across the School. It is the aggregate total of these funds that make possible exciting opportunities for our students, and every bit helps. In addition, there are several ways in which you can extend your gift depending on opportunities and factors available to you, such as:
Your gift, no matter what level, will make a difference in the lives of IGM students both now and in the future, and will allow the School to continue to provide a best-in-class educational experience to our student body.
